In my digital works, I embark on an inward journey—an unfiltered exploration of my inner world. Unlike my vibrant, detailed paintings that celebrate strength and beauty, these mostly monochromatic, minimalistic illustrations are deeply personal. They serve as a visual diary, capturing moments of solitude, vulnerability, and resilience.
These pieces are not created for aesthetic appeal but as acts of introspection. They reveal fragments of myself that often remain hidden, reflecting the divide between the external world I navigate and the internal universe I inhabit. In this digital space, stripped of ornament and distraction, I confront emotions as they are—unmasked and unembellished.
During my years in Mexico, this introspective journey became more urgent and unapologetic. I created works that were never meant to be shown—pieces born from a need to express raw emotions, leaving no room for reinterpretation. They exist as unapologetic truths, reflecting the complexity of being human.
Living in the land of chili and tequila for four years, and after visiting the studios of several artists, I found myself deeply inspired by the emotional depth of Frida Kahlo. Studying her work taught me that it is okay to feel deeply and to express myself without apology. My digital pieces serve as a counterbalance to my painted worlds: where one celebrates the power of beauty, the other uncovers the power of truth. Together, they form a dialogue—a reconciliation of the dualities that define me.
Through these digital works, I invite viewers not just to see but to feel—to join me in navigating the delicate space where fragility meets strength, where solitude becomes a canvas, and where the inner self finds its voice.
